Dawson's Landing is located in the remote beauty and spectacular fishing of the coastal British Columbia wilderness, about sixty five miles north of Port Hardy across Queen Charlotte Strait.
We are located in a quiet, protected bay approximately 12 miles up Rivers Inlet, just northeast of the northern tip of Walbran Island. Dawson's Landing is family owned and operated by Nola and Robert Bachen. We have hosted fishermen, boaters, cruisers, scientists, pleasure and commercial craft for over 55 years. Dawson's Landing has daily scheduled float plane service from Port Hardy that connects the small communities dotting the coast.
We have ample secure moorage, accommodating small fishing and pleasure boats up to large yachts. The fresh water, shower, restroom and laundry facilities are truly a welcomed convenience for sailors and boaters in the know, as are the general store and fuel facility. In fact, between Port Hardy on Vancouver Island up the inside passage to Bella Bella, Dawson’s Landing is the only location where you will find fuel (both gas and diesel), a general store, a post office, a Government liquor store, and rental cabin accommodations.
